Winter Camp - Galena Creek Visitor Center

"In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer."-Albert Camus

Winter Exploration Camp 2026!

Spend winter break exploring the outdoors at Galena Creek Regional Park! Join us for four days of winter adventures, hands-on science experiments, guided hikes, animal tracking, outdoor games, s’mores around the fire, indoor activities inside the Visitor Center, and more! Campers will discover how local wildlife adapts to winter, learn to identify animal tracks, meet guest speakers, and explore the science of the season. If snow conditions allow, we’ll go sledding, snowshoeing, and dive into snow science! From exploring wintry trails to warming up with hot cocoa, campers will spend their break discovering new things, building outdoor skills, and making the most of the winter season!

New Year’s Eve Celebration on December 31st! Hot dog lunch will be provided.
