Ready for more responsibility and a new challenge? Our Camp Leadership & Career Experience gives returning and eligible campers the opportunity to step into a leadership or internship role, gain hands-on experience, and build skills that extend beyond camp.
Participants can apply for one of two experiences:
Counselor in Training (CIT) — Develop leadership skills while working alongside our camp staff and participating in daily camp activities.
Culinary Intern — Explore the world of outdoor and camp cooking through hands-on food preparation, meal planning, and kitchen experience while shadowing Camp Chef.

CITs become an active part of the camp team while continuing to experience the activities they love. Working alongside experienced counselors, CITs observe effective leadership, help support younger campers, and learn what it takes to create a positive and inclusive camp environment.
What You’ll Learn
- Leadership: Build confidence and learn how to take initiative and support others.
- Communication: Practice communicating clearly with campers, peers, and staff.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively and contribute to the camp team.
- Problem-Solving: Learn to think on your feet and respond to everyday challenges.

Culinary Internship
Culinary Internship
Love cooking or want to see what it’s like to work with a Chef ? Our Culinary Internship provides hands-on experience with food preparation, large group cooking, meal planning, and teamwork. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILBLE DURING OVERNIGHT CAMPS.
Overnight Camp Culinary Interns have the opportunity to shadow camp chef in a fully equipped kitchen and gain experience with meal preparation and kitchen operations.

- Meal Planning: Help plan and prepare a complete meal and dessert.
- Food Safety: Learn the basics of safe food handling and preparation.

- Teamwork: Work together to prepare meals for the camp community.
